[Half Day] Linlithgow for Linlithgow Palace
James V and Mary Queen of Scots were both born at this magnificent royal house. It is a delight to visit, sure to take your breath away. It is located next to a small lake which affords nice views of the palace. Next door to the palace is St. Michael’s Parish Church, which dates back to at least 1242. The palace is a 10 minute walk down the High Street from the railway station.

[Half Day] Dunfermline for Robert the Bruce, medieval royal history, Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum
Enjoy travelling by train across the famous rusty-red Firth of Forth Bridge into the Kingdom of Fife to Dunfermline, the final resting place for the infamous Robert the Bruce. Dunfermline Abbey once served as Scottish royalty’s mausoleum. The Abbey is a 15 minutes’ uphill walk from the railway station.
